From Nathan Lane to Edward Norton, the hit ABC comedy "Modern Family" has had its fair share of guest stars, but it may get one of its biggest names yet. Britney Spears recently spoke about her desire to make an appearance on the Emmy winning show, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

There hasn't been any substantial talks about whether or not she will actually be on the show, but it created considerable buzz on Twitter. After she tweeted how much she loved the series, one of its stars, Sofia Vergara re-tweeted it and Spears' manager mentioned the possibility of her appearing.

"I would love to be on it!" Spears tweeted soon after.

It wouldn't be Spears' first foray into television. The "Baby One More Time" singer appeared in a multiple-episode arc on "How I Met Your Mother" and also made a cameo as herself on the Fox show "Glee."

"Modern Family" has been taking home plenty of awards this season. It recently won the Golden Globe for best musical or comedy series and Vergara and co-star Eric Stonestreet both earned nominations.
