Few details have emerged about the next Quentin Tarantino movie "Django Unchained" other than its impressive cast list. However, the famed director recently broke his silence regarding the location of the set of the film when he spoke to the Los Angeles Times.

The movie, which has an all star cast including Oscar winners Jamie Foxx and Christoph Waltz as well as Leonardo DiCaprio, Kevin Costner and Samuel L. Jackson, is being shot in Santa Clarita, California, and Tarantino says it is the perfect location for his western.

"It's a blast shooting here," he told the Times. "Most other western towns look like dollhouses. This has the complete look. It’s fantastic."

The movie stars Foxx as an escaped slave (the titular Django), who is seeking revenge on his former master, which will be played by DiCaprio. Sacha Baron Cohen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and "The Wire" actor Michael K. Williams are also involved to some degree.

"Django Unchained" is scheduled to hit theaters on December 25, 2012, and until then fans can check out some of Tarantino's best movies including "Inglourious Basterds," "Pulp Fiction" and "Grindhouse."
