(We do not collect these names or emails!)Between the seventh season of "How I Met Your Mother" and the beloved debut of "The Muppets," the past year has been good to Jason Segel. However, it just got even better as the actor was recently named Man of the Year by Harvard University's Hasty Pudding Theatricals, according to The Associated Press.
The group, the oldest undergraduate drama troupe in the country, is planning on honoring Segel with a parade and roast on February 3. He is certainly a logical choice for the honor and although his career has taken off over the last couple years, he has already enjoyed a great deal of success.
Before his whirlwind 2011, Segel was likely best known for his starring turns in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" (which he also wrote) as well as "I Love You, Man" in which he starred alongside Paul Rudd. Even further back he was one of the principle characters in the short-lived cult favorite "Freaks and Geeks."
According to the AP, the award, which is meant to celebrate the year's best entertainers, will also be presented to Claire Danes thanks in large part to her role in "Homeland."
