Kristen Wiig may star in upcoming Ben Stiller film

"Saturday Night LIve" star Kristen Wiig may not be appearing in a rumored "Bridesmaids" sequel, but it looks like she'll be returning to the big screen in the near future. Wiig is in talks with Ben Stiller to be in his updated version of the classic comedy "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty," according to The Hollywood Reporter. The movie is a remake of a 1947 film, which is based on a short story of the same name. It will star Stiller, who will also direct, as magazine photographer who suddenly finds himself living one of the fantasies he often dreams of. If all goes according to plan, Wiig will likely be playing the main character's love interest. The film is slated to start production sometime in the spring, the news source reports. Although Wiig has shot two independent movies over the last year or so, it would be her first big-budget film since "Bridesmaids." It will certainly not be Stiller's first big-name comedy movie. Fans of the prolific actor may want to check out some of his best work including "Zoolander" and "Meet the Parents."
