Mark Wahlberg expresses desire to direct

From rapper to actor to producer, Mark Wahlberg has worn many hats, and he may be on his way to donning another one. Wahlberg recently spoke about his desire to get behind the camera and given his recent activity it seems like a logical fit, MTV.com reports. Being involved behind the scenes is nothing new for Wahlberg. He was the driving force behind the Oscar-nominated film "The Fighter," and although it was directed by David O. Russell, Wahlberg played a large role in getting the movie made. While he may be best known for his dramatic roles, Wahlberg wants to switch things up if he moves to the director's chair. "There was a time when I was thinking about directing 'Fighter,'" he told MTV. "But I think I want to do something that's a little more on the comedic side." Though it might be some time until Wahlberg adds a directing credit to his filmography, fans can check out some of his best work on screen including "The Departed" and "Boogie Nights."
