Two of the creative minds behind the hit comedy series "The Office" are getting ready to lend their talents to something new. The show's executive producer Greg Daniels and actor Mindy Kaling (who is also a writer) are going to work on two animated comedies for NBC, Deadline reports.

Kaling is on board to write one of the series, which will also use her voice. The other series is going to be written by Alan Yang, who is a scribe for "Parks and Recreation," which is also produced by Daniels.

Details are scarce on both series, but Kaling's is expected to focus primarily around the exploits of a high school girl's volleyball team while Yang's project will center on a group of 20-year-olds living in Los Angeles, the website reports.

Though it may be some time until either of the series hit the small screen, fans of similar shows can check them out through TV on DVD. Cartoons such as "Archer" and "Futurama" both have loyal followings and get positive reviews.
