(We do not collect these names or emails!)It's hard to find two more rugged actors than Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig, and the pair got together for one of the most unique films of 2011, "Cowboys & Aliens." The sci-fi Western movie based on a graphic novel certainly gave audiences a fun feature and now it comes to DVD on December 6.
Jake Longerman (Craig) is a mysterious stranger who appears in Arizona around the turn of the century, and after a run-in with local residents, he is eventually turned over to Colonel Woodrow Dolarhyde (Ford). What starts off as a tense standoff is interrupted by an attack by an alien ship which Longerman ends by shooting it down with his wrist band, beginning a chain of events that rocks the small village.
A group goes after the aliens, but the cowboys face a number of other dangers including the local Native American population and one of their own may not be who they think he or she is.
It's not often that both sci-fi and the Western genre come together, but when they do it usually provides a memorable experience. Films including Ford's "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" and "Wild Wild West" are both perfect examples.
Featured Titles:
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade Special Edition; Widescreen DVD$15.99
Wild Wild West Blu-ray Disc$13.99
