Matthew McConaughey highlights impressive cast in 'The Lincoln Lawyer'

Legal dramas are not usually known for their thrilling nature, but such is not the case with "The Lincoln Lawyer," which certainly keeps audiences on their toes. With an all-star cast led by Matthew McConaughey, the new release DVD comes to shelves July 12. Mickey Haller (McConaughey) is a successful defense attorney, but operates out of a Lincoln Town Car after representing run-of-the mill criminals. However, he gets a break when he is tapped to defend the wealthy Louis Roulet (Ryan Phillippe) after he is accused of the brutal beating of a prostitute. Haller faces a moral dilemma in defending Roulet, and has to come to terms with getting a possibly guilty man off the hook for the sake of his job. However, as new evidence comes to light, maybe the case isn't as it seems. "The Lincoln Lawyer" deftly blends legal drama with an action movie. Those who want to check out some classic titles that do both may want to watch "12 Angry Men" or "A Few Good Men."
