(We do not collect these names or emails!)The concept of fate is often explored my movies. Are people really able to determine their own future, or is there a predestined plan? Though it's a common question, "The Adjustment Bureau" takes things to a whole new level. The new released DVD comes to stores June 21.
David Norris (Matt Damon) is an up-and-coming politician running for Senate, and after a chance encounter with a woman named Elsie (Emily Blunt) he decides to change the nature of one of his upcoming speeches, changing his perception in the mind of the people. After coming into work early, David stumbles upon a group of unfamiliar men tending to his motionless coworkers, which gives him a knowledge he was not supposed to have.
David is told about the Adjustment Bureau, which makes sure that everybody follows a certain life plan. He is told that he is never to see Elsie again, since it wasn't part of his plan. However, he goes against their orders and has to avoid being captured.
Fans of sci-fi movies with a twist may want to check out other films such as "The Day the Earth Stood Still" and "Inception."
