Jennifer Hudson cast as nun in upcoming 'Three Stooges' movie

Jennifer Hudson may be best known for her work in the drama "Dreamgirls," but the Oscar-winning actress is headed down a different path for her latest project. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hudson has been cast as a nun in the upcoming reboot of "The Three Stooges." Hudson has signed on as a nun at the orphanage where the titular characters eventually meet. The star joins a slew of other talented actors in the supporting cast as well. "Glee" Emmy winner Jane Lynch is attached as the Mother Superior at the orphanage, while Larry David and Stephen Collins have also been confirmed as part of the project. As for the Stooges themselves, the news source reports they will be portrayed by Chris Diamantopoulos (Moe), Sean Hayes (Larry) and Will Sasso (Curly). Hudson has a number of other projects in the works as well, including the upcoming biopic on South African politician (and wife of Nelson Mandela) Winnie Madikizela-Mandela. Film buffs can also check her out in "Fragments" and "The Secret Life of Bees."
