Halle Berry admits she doesn't have acting chops to play Aretha Franklin

Ever since Aretha Franklin stated that a feature-length film is currently being adapted from her 1999 autobiography, "Aretha: From These Roots," speculation has been rampant about who will be playing the Queen of Soul. Not so surprisingly, Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry has been at the top of the list. However, it looks as though Berry isn't confident she has the vocal chops necessary for the part. The "Monster's Ball" and "Things We Lost in the Fire" star spoke with CNN.com about her thoughts on the project. "I would absolutely entertain the idea, it would be an honor for anyone to play her," she told the news outlet. "I would entertain producing and helping in anyway. I believe her life and contribution to the music industry is an important part of the legacy of our people and needs to be told."
