There were scores of notable foreign films that made their way into American theaters in 2010, and it's safe to say that "Animal Kingdom" was one of the most critically-adored. The unforgettable thriller will be available for purchase January 18.

The film centers on Josh, (James Frecheville) a teen who goes to live with his grandmother and her gangster sons after his mother dies from a drug overdose. Once there, he gets sucked into the mobster family's underground world, suffering disastrous consequences along the way.

The film, which won the World Cinema Jury Prize: Dramatic at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, also stars Guy Pearce as a good-natured detective trying to help Josh and take down the sinister siblings.

Although "Animal Kingdom" is a must-see for fans of Australian films, there are other gems which moviegoers might enjoy as well. The emotional drama "Rabbit Proof Fence" and the cult comedy-drama "Muriel's Wedding" both continue to be beloved by audiences around the world.
