Former "Gone with the Wind" Actress Cammie King Conlon has passed away

"Gone with the Wind" was released more than 70 years ago, but fans of the movie are sure to mourn Cammie King Conlon (who was just 5-years-old when she played Bonnie Blue Butler in the movie), who passed away earlier in the month. BBC News reports that Conlon suffered from lung cancer and passed away from the disease on Wednesday, September 1. Conlon spoke with the Santa Rosa Press Democrat last year about her thoughts on being part of such an iconic movie. "As the years have gone by, I realise it's an honour and it's so humbling. I had nothing to do with it - I was five. They said, 'stand here, do this'. And yet it's resulted in this incredible experience," she told the news source. After "Gone with the Wind," Conlon went on to lend her voice to the role of Faline in the animated Disney classic "Bambi." However, her film career didn't last long - she later went on to work as a director for a museum and a publicist for a chamber of commerce.
