Bristol Palin talks about joining "Dancing with the Stars"

For fans of the hit reality show "Dancing with the Stars," the upcoming season promises endless hours of entertainment. Actor David Hasselhoff and "Jersey Shore" cast mate Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino are just some of the celebrities who are set to grace the ballroom dance floor. Still, one of the most unexpected people set to join the cast is Bristol Palin, daughter of Sarah Palin. The 19-year-old has been making headlines recently for her relationship with her child's father, Levi Johnston, as well as her choice to become a teen mother. However, Bristol spoke with Entertainment Weekly and explained her decision was rooted in her belief in the value of the program. "It's something that is family oriented, it's positive and it's a good competition," she told the news outlet. Palin faces a wide range of competitors, which also include "Dirty Dancing" icon Jennifer Grey and "The Hills" star Audrina Patridge. "Dancing with the Stars" is set to premiere on Monday, September 20.
