Will Forte will be leaving "Saturday Night Live"

Sad news for fans of Will Forte - the actor and comedian, who has been performing on "Saturday Night Live" for the past eight seasons, is leaving the show, PopEater.com reports. Lewis Kay, Forte's publicist, told the news source that the actor is "eternally grateful" to "Saturday Night Live" producer Lorne Michaels, as well as to "all the incredible people he worked with over the years" on the long-running show. Forte joined the series as a featured player in 2002 and was quickly promoted to a regular cast member. His most popular recurring characters included the Falconer, MacGruber and, after Will Ferrell left the show, former President George W. Bush. While Forte won't be appearing on the popular sketch comedy show anymore, his movie career seems to be going strong. The talented performer recently starred alongside Kristen Wiig in the feature film adaptation of "MacGruber" and also appeared in the drama "Brief Interviews with Hideous Men."
