Katie Holmes will star with Adam Sandler in "Jack and Jill"

Katie Holmes' career may have been stagnant for the past few years, but it's safe to say the actress is currently on fire. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the former "Dawson's Creek" starlet is in talks to lead the comedy "Jack and Jill," along with Adam Sandler. "In the film, Jack, a family man, deals with his twin sister, Jill, when she visits for Thanksgiving then won't leave. Sandler will play both characters," according to the news source. If plans go through, Holmes will play Sandler's wife. Also joining the film is Al Pacino. This will also mark Holmes' first appearance in a studio movie since the 2005 legendary "The Dark Knight" and her first big screen performance since the 2008 comedy "Mad Money." However, the woman who is perhaps best known for being married to Tom Cruise, has been joining scores of new projects over the past year. Her two films, "The Romantics" and "Son of No One" are due in theaters later this year, and she is currently shooting "The Kennedys," a miniseries in which she plays Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
