Are 40-plus women making their mark on Hollywood?

Hollywood has been known to be fickle, and Tinseltown could be accused of being dismissive toward actresses as they mature. However, recent trends suggest this may be changing. According to The Hollywood Reporter, three A-list actresses over the age of 40 will be appearing on the covers of major publications. Halle Berry will be on Vogue, Jennifer Aniston is set to pose for Harper's Bazaar, and Julia Roberts will be front and center on Elle Magazine. "They're cool, fashionable, interesting, compelling - they have something to say," Laura Brown of Harper's Bazaar, told the news source. While it's been 20 years since Roberts took the world by storm in "Pretty Woman" and 16 since Aniston first appeared in "Friends," their star power is still going strong. Lesley Jane Seymour, editor of More magazine, is not surprised. "They're the ones with real style, real staying power, real beauty," she told the news outlet. "As the American population continues to grow older, everyone can relate better to a woman with a little wear on her tires."
