Fans of AMC's hit show "Breaking Bad" may have to wait a while for a resolution to the season three finale cliffhanger. According to the latest reports, the fourth season premiere is scheduled to air in July 2011.

Deadline.com reports that producers are hoping to accrue more viewers by airing the drama during the summer.

"I think what AMC is thinking here is there will be less competition for us - particularly from the broadcast networks," Bryan Cranston, former star of "Malcolm in the Middle," who plays Walter White on the show, told the news outlet.

"Breaking Bad" tells the story of White, a chemistry teacher who discovers he has terminal lung cancer. In order to make money for his family before he passes away, be begins selling methamphetamine, with to the help of his former student, Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul).

While fans of the series may be disappointed, it looks as though Cranston is on board with the idea.

"The idea is to keep people aware and interested in the show during the long time away," he told the news outlet.ADNFCR-2673-ID-19923960-ADNFCR
