The role of Martin Vanger may have been cast for "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo"

Has another actor been added to the cast of the most widely-anticipated remake of the decade? According to Variety, Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgaard, who audiences may remember from "Angles & Demons" and "Mamma Mia!" is in talks to play one of the lead roles in the film, Martin Vanger. "I have met (helmer David) Fincher, I want to work with him, he wants to work me. I have had a concrete offer and now we are in negotiations," Skarsgaard told the news source. "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" is based on the adored crime novel written by Stieg Larsson and adapted from the Swedish film of the same name. Recently, "Casino Royale" actor Daniel Craig was confirmed as the film's male protagonist, Mikael Blomkvist. It looks like Skarsgaard has been given some inside scoop on the shooting schedule, as the actor spoke with the news source about filming in the United States. "I think there might be some location work there as well, when it becomes too dark to shoot here," he told the news outlet.
