Ben Stiller shows his softer side in "Greenberg"

It's been years since Ben Stiller showed the world his dramatic tendencies, yet he hits the mark in "Greenberg." The critically-acclaimed film is due to be released on DVD July 13. Stiller plays Roger Greenberg, a guy who is going through a mid-life crisis. After suffering a nervous breakdown, he heads back to Los Angeles to house sit for his brother, Phillip (Chris Messina). Once there, Greenberg starts up a relationship with his brother's assistant, Florence (Greta Gerwig). He also reconnects with his old band mates and tries to date his old girlfriend, Beth (Jennifer Jason Leigh). "Greenberg" was directed by Noah Baumbach, who is best known for helming the independent gems "The Squid and the Whale" and "Margot at the Wedding." As usual, Stiller's career shows no sign of slowing down. The funnyman recently appeared in "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian" and will be starring in "Little Fockers," the third chapter in the "Meet the Parents" franchise.
