For millions of vampire enthusiasts around the world, this day has been a long time coming. "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," the third installment in the much-beloved franchise, makes its way into theaters today, where the continuing adventures of Bella Swan, Edward Cullen and Jacob Black is set to be enjoyed by fervent teenage fans around the globe.

The third act of the saga may be the most emotional. Kristen Stewart seems near tears in every scene, and Robert Pattinson is as weepy as he's ever been. But there is chemistry between the two, and their unrequited love stings as much as a bite to the neck.

The story kicks off where the last film in the series, "New Moon," left off. Bella Swan (Stewart) and her vampire beau Edward Cullen (Pattinson) are in teen relationship bliss. In the opening shots we hear Bella read Robert Frost's infamous poem "Fire and Ice" as she sits in a field of wildflowers with her beloved. For teenagers who worship the duo, this is as good as it gets.

Still, it's all fun and games until Edward realizes that Bella's life is in danger. The raven-haired object of his affections is being hunted by the evil vampire Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard), who is seeking revenge for her fallen lover, James.

However, while in the midst of plotting to overtake the murderess and her sinister crew of new vampires - appropriately called newborns - Edward still finds time to gets down on one knee and ask Bella for her hand in marriage.

Can you hear that sound? It's the roar of millions of adolescents shrieking with delight. Still, what good is a film without a fantastic love triangle to keep it interesting?

For Edward and Bella, the person intruding on their love affair is none other than Jacob (Taylor Lautner). The human-werewolf pledges to keep Bella safe from the Cullens' foes, yet doesn't stop gushing about his love for the girl. Scene after scene he proclaims he knows they're meant to be.

Of course, there's a showdown that will pit the two groups against one another, and the beautiful Bella will have to make her decision by the end of the film. Would fans of the Stephenie Meyer novels want it any other way?

In the end, "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" may be best for fans who enjoyed the first two installment in the series, "Twilight" and "New Moon." The film is an action-packed adventure and provides the kind of romance teenagers live for. Whether you sport your "Team Edward" or "Team Jacob" T-shirt at the theater is up to you.

"The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" is 124 minutes and is rated PG-13. It contains scenes of intense action and implications of sensuality.ADNFCR-2673-ID-19868782-ADNFCR
