"Extraordinary Measures," a tear jerker from director Tom Vaughan, will be released on DVD on May 18. Families everywhere can enjoy the gripping family drama.

The film follows John and Aileen Crowley, played by Brendan Fraser and Keri Russell, and their three children - two of whom struggle with the terminal illness Pompe disease. Unable to watch his children slowly die, John decides to team up with research scientist Robert Stonehill (Harrison Ford).

As the two race to find a cure for the devastating disease, they face a multitude of hurdles, including lack of funding and health scares that threaten John's children's lives. Regardless of these roadblocks, John and Robert are determined to find a cure and save the Crowley kids.

While this is the first time that Fraser and Russell have appeared on the big screen together, the two have each guest starred on the hit series "Scrubs," though not during the same seasons.

Fraser recently starred in "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor," the third installment in the wildly successful franchise. The film has grossed $401 million wordwideADNFCR-2673-ID-19771507-ADNFCR
