The series finale of "Lost" is set to air on May 23, and fans of the popular drama can hardly wait. However, eager TV watchers should be warned that they might not get the closure they desire.

Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, the co-creators of the show, spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about what's in store.

"We're trying to end 'Lost' in a way that feels 'Lost'-ian and fair and will generate a tremendous amount of theorizing," Lindelof told the news source. "There's no way to end the show where the fans aren't going to say, 'What did they mean by this?' Which is why we're not going to explain it."

"Lost" has remained somewhat steady in the ratings for six seasons, but it may be the show's continuous guessing-game that has led to its cult following.

Although the series is nearing its end, the careers of its main actors are going strong. Evangeline Lilly, who plays Kate Austen, appeared in the Academy Award-winning drama "The Hurt Locker," while Matthew Fox, who plays Jack Shepherd, was cast in the films "Speed Racer" and "Vantage Point."ADNFCR-2673-ID-19755229-ADNFCR
