"Tron: Legacy" stars Jeff Bridges and Olivia Wilde

The official trailer for "Tron: Legacy" has been released, and it's safe to say it's stunning. While fans of science-fiction will certainly adore the film, moviegoers of all ages and personalities are sure to get a kick out of this upcoming blockbuster. The flick, which is a sequel to the 1982 hit "Tron," stars Jeff Bridges and Garrett Hedlund. Hedlund plays Sam Flynn, a 27-year old computer whiz who looks into the disappearance of his dad, Kevin (Bridges). Sam finds Kevin living in a fast-paced world full of gladiators. The father and son are reunited and soon embark on a journey together across a digital universe. Producers of "Tron: Legacy" have been marketing the film online and in theaters for months. The first original action-adventure, "Tron," grossed $33 million when it was released in 1982. This figure is estimated to equal about $85 million today, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com. However, the results at the time were still disappointing. "Tron" was competing with "E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial," Steven Spielberg's classic, which hit theaters a month earlier.
