You're never too old to enjoy "A Charlie Brown Christmas"

Fans of the "Peanuts" comic strip and Charlie Brown lovers everywhere can appreciate "A Charlie Brown Christmas." The half-hour special was first aired in 1965, but is still enjoyable – and relevant - nearly 35 years later. At the start of the story, Charlie Brown is depressed by the commercialism of the holiday season. He is even more despondent when charged with the task of purchasing a shiny, aluminum Christmas tree for the school's Christmas pageant. However, while shopping for the perfect fake spruce, he happens upon a small, bedraggled tree that just needs a little love. The classic Christmas story boasts a now-famous soundtrack, composed by Vince Guaraldi, and the characters are voiced by real children. Kids and hipsters alike will revel in the retro-feel of the cartoon. Fans of "A Charlie Brown Christmas" will also be sure to love other animated Christmas stories, like 1966's "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," which was based on the Dr. Seuss book of the same name. The cartoon is narrated by Boris Karloff of "Frankenstein" fame, and tells the story of a miserly outcast who eventually learns the true meaning of Christmas.
