"Monsters vs Aliens" on DVD

While some kids are afraid of imaginary monsters under the bed, the friendly creatures in "Monsters vs Aliens" will provide screams of laughter, rather than fear. When an alien threatened earth, a jumbled collection of monsters united in order to protect all citizens. Among the motley crew were the brightly colored B.O.B, voiced by Seth Rogen, and Susan (Reese Witherspoon) who became a giant after being hit by a meteorite. But this was no ordinary space rock. The meteorite contained a special, highly prized substance called quantonium that was extremely powerful. In fact, most of the gang were affected by this element and were sequestered away by the US Government. They were released when their power was needed against the alien. This movie has been described as great for families and is an upbeat, hilarious tale. On September 29, "Monsters vs Aliens" comes to DVD and it might be a great idea for a family night in together. Kids and adults who enjoyed similar animated features like "Shrek" and "Shrek 2" are sure to appreciate the humor in "Monsters vs Aliens."
